Project Manager - Epilepsy Research ProgramThe Florey Institute of Neuroscience & Mental Health
About the role: A unique and exciting opportunity is available to be part of a new program for the development and commercialization of novel therapies for severe childhood epilepsies. This program is of particular significance to the Institute, and a chance to be part of a team dedicated to improving the lives of infants and children suffering from incurable and devastating neurogenetic disorders. The candidate will join an outstanding group of scientists and staff, working within the Ion Channels and Human Diseases team at our Parkville facility.
The candidate will be responsible for: Project managing contracted research involving multiple stakeholders Coordinating project resources to ensure timely completion of objectives Overseeing and managing project risk Preparing scientific and financial reports Executing the partnering strategy We envisage the successful candidate will have a strong research background and is looking to pursue other career opportunities using their management and co-ordination skills, whilst continuing to contribute to outstanding medical research. Detailed information and key responsibilities are available from the Position Description This position is fixed-term, full-time until March 2024 and attracts a salary offer of $95,288 (HEW8-1) commensurate with experience.
