Childcare Educators (Childcare Workers)

The YMCA of the Northern Territory is a highly regarded childcare provider in the Northern Territory. We provide high-quality early education that promotes and develops self-confidence, creativity, and individuality while celebrating cultural diversity. We have a number of exciting career opportunities available at our Jingili Child Care Centre for Certificate III and Diploma qualified Educators (Childcare Workers).

Hours may vary between 6 am - 6 pm Monday to Friday. Children Services Award 2020 – Starting Level 3.1 $45,635 pa.

(Certificate III) to 3.4 $51,385 pa. (Diploma) 9.

5% Super. This position has the responsibility to work in partnership with other early childhood educators, children, and families to ensure positive outcomes for children in the provision of play and leisure experiences for children attending LDC services. Educators are responsible for the direct supervision and care of children within the service, compliance with quality frameworks, adherence to safeguarding children standards, and organisational policies and procedures.

We are looking for passionate and inspired Educators (Childcare Workers) with experience in the early years' sector that possess the following attributes and abilities; Be passionate and motivated to deliver high-quality educational programs and learning environments. Act as a positive role model, demonstrating appropriate behaviour. Provide a dynamic, supportive, caring, and safe environment for all children, staff, and caregivers.

An adaptable leadership style with the ability to guide, support, and mentor team members. A commitment to ongoing professional growth as an individual and as a team. A positive, enthusiastic, and professional attitude.

The YMCA of the Northern Territory has partnered with Karen Sheldon Training and can offer Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care with both qualifications fully funded for eligible candidates through GTNT Group. Any successfully appointed applicant will be required to adhere to the Safeguarding Children and Young People framework, which includes a thorough safeguarding children and young people induction.
