The team includes the specialist genres of arts, science, education, religion and ethics. Entertainment & Specialist develops, produces, acquires and distributes Australian stories across ABC TV, ABC Kids, ABC ME the national networks of ABC Radio, ABC online and audio and video apps, to inform, educate and entertain all Australians. This content reflects Australia’s culture and community, generating national conversations and empowering the public to contribute to our national identity.
About the Role ABC Kids, the most successful children's channel in Australia is looking for a passionate Programmer to join their team. You will play a key role in contributing to the strategic planning of video content across all platforms. The role will involve: Preparing & managing ABC KIDS editorial plans for all platforms, in conjunction with the Channel Manager Children’s TV & Education.
Assisting the Channel Manager in strategic planning for all ABC platforms targeting the 0-6 and young family audiences. Working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure ABC Kids priorities are best reflected in all their activities. About You Proven experience in programming and evaluating content offers for preschool audiences, demonstrating substantial editorial skills and judgement.
Strong understanding of how children engage with entertainment content and brands. Demonstrated understanding of scheduling children’s content across multiple platforms.
