About the role As our next CHPP Electrical Tradesperson reporting to the CHPP Supervisor , this role will see you operating and maintaining all areas of the Coal Handling Preparation Plant in line with the production and maintenance schedules. This role is a permanent position that will see you working 12.25-hour rotating day and night shift 7 days 7 days off (Wednesday-Tuesday).
Full camp facilities are available and bus transportation is provided from Mackay or Rockhampton to the Dysart Camp. Our Lake Vermont Project is situated in Dysart, North Queensland. In this role, your responsibilities will include: Operate and Maintain all aspects of the CHPP Operate ancillary equipment in the preparation plant as directed, eg Overhead Crane, Bobcat, Dozer, IT etc Perform first response breakdown as required.
Ensure cleanliness in all areas of the CHPP. Comply with site procedures, instructions and original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) specifications and limitations to ensure effective use of equipment and achievement of safe maintenance targets. About you Role Requirements as a CHPP Electrical Tradesperson at Lake Vermont: Current QLD Electrical Licence and Low Voltage Rescue Previous or current experience working within the CHPP mining environment.
It is desirable that candidates hold Nationally Recognised Competencies for mobile and fixed plant equipment (RII’s) or have experience in a CHPP operational role Current EEHA and HV competencies will be highly regarded High commitment to a positive safety culture.
