Exciting role Finance Manager has opened up where you will lead the financial control function reporting to the GM Finance. This is a Fixed Term role for a period of 6-9 months .
The day-to-day of this role is managing a small team who ensure the Group remains compliant with Australian and relevant accounting standards and its regulatory reporting obligations. You will be accountable for the Group's financial transactions and accuracy of the monthly result. You will be an advisory for technical accounting matters to the business This role is responsible for managing the tax obligations for the Group.
It also oversees the treasury function including daily cash management. Success in this role is measured by your ability to proactively deliver internal reporting requirements, accounting and governance obligations and leadership of a team. The ability to build strong working relationships across broad internal and external stakeholder groups, an exceptional degree of attention to detail and accounting excellence is critical to success in the role.
A key component to this role is having the ability to articulate and present complex accounting and tax matters to management and non-Finance audience. To be successful in this role Experience in preparing high quality, accurate, and timely financial performance (Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash flow) reporting to the Board and Executive team on a monthly basis. The ability to provide monthly analysis of variances between actual results and budget/forecast and identify areas for potential improvement.
Managing and overseeing the processing of Revenue & Receivable, P2P and Tax function. Ensure statutory and legislative compliance throughout the Versent group. Coordinate the annual audit and submission of annual audit and income tax returns.
Be able to develop and maintain efficient and effective finance systems in collaboration with the finance team, with a focus on continuous improvement. Experience with maintaining and reviewing accounting policies and procedures to ensure conformance with best practice, legislative requirements, and business needs.
