wsp.com . The Opportunity We are looking for a mature, solution-oriented and pragmatic Senior Legal Counsel to join our team of four lawyers in Sydney.
You will report to the Deputy General Counsel and provide legal services relating to commercial contracts, insurance and insurance-related matters, the development of template precedents, corporate governance, as well as provide general legal support to our Australian business as a trusted and valued advisor. Day to day, you will be given the opportunity to: draft and negotiate engineering services contracts, standard form contracts/subcontracts and other commercial agreements to support large infrastructure projects act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of internal/external clients, under the guidance of the Deputy General Counsel (Australia) and the General Counsel (Asia Pacific) deliver a high standard of work, ensuring deadlines are met and clients are kept informed contribute to training programs for non-legal staff You are a Construction Lawyer with at least 6 years PQE gained in either an in-house legal team of a construction, engineering or infrastructure company or within a top tier law firm. You can negotiate contracts on large projects, and you are a self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
