Full Time Cook (Carboni's Italian Kitchen)
Carboni's Italian Kitchen based in Ballarat is looking for an experienced Cook to join their team who can match our passion for food and customer experience. Duties and Responsibilities Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality and check the quality of ingredients. Able to cook various food items such as Pasta, Pizza, Fish and Meat.
Operating standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment. Prepare and season food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required.
Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes. Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature controlled facilities. Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.
Plan menus and estimate food requirements. Train and assist other kitchen staff in preparing food. Contribute to consistent quality of our great menu.
Skills and Experience At least three years’ experience as a Full time cook in a fast-paced environment; Preferred Certificate III and Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent or higher trade qualifications); Experience in delivering consistently high-quality food to customers; Ability to work Full time (38 hours Per week). Flexible availability for working additional hours on rotating roster as per the requirements of the business. Please include a current resume and supporting documents to your application.
