Senior Engineer, Signalling
About the opportunity The Senior Engineer, Signalling, will assist the Signalling team within the Engineering Integration Group (EIG) in the technical oversight and review of signalling design and construction documentation across RPV projects (including development and inflight projects). This role will be working within a group of railway industry subject matter experts (civil, structures, track, fire, power, and signal engineers), providing technical advice to project teams across the RPV project portfolio. The Senior Engineer, Signalling, will manage signalling delivery programs, technical issues, and interfaces with external designers.
The role is also responsible for identifying project risks and developing recommendations and strategies to mitigate those risks. It requires experience in Australian project design and delivery relating to signalling and related rail systems, including integration across multiple disciplines. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders is also fundamental for success in this role.
About you To be successful in this role you will: Demonstrate significant achievement in the delivery of signalling projects within the scheduled timeframe and budget, optimising safety, environmental impacts, reliability, operational characteristics and maintainability, through to handover Have appropriate rail signalling project experience Have proven excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to pre-empt and mitigate project risks Need to hold a bachelor (or higher) qualification in Engineering or a related discipline Why join us?
