Registered Nurse - Mental Health

With more than 4300 staff, 1000 accredited medical practitioners and several locations, we offer a range of employment opportunities to start, continue or advance your career Cabrini Womens Mental Health Facility In August 2021, Cabrini will be opening the first private, voluntary, womens-only mental health facility in Australia. Located in Elsternwick, the service will focus on treatment for a number of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder. A short stay mental health program will be supported with intensive day program, telehealth and community support.

We are seeking candidates for the position of Registered Nurse. Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Grade 2 -€" RN/RPN (Women€™s Mental Health) As a Registered Nurse at Cabrini you will be responsible for the delivery of compassionate and respectful patient care. Your success in this role, will be in your ability to engage with consumers, provide assessment and planning to meet the needs of the consumers and their family/carers, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.

Salary range for RN Grade 2 is $32.21 to $45.50 per hour plus superannuation depending on experience (in accordance with the Cabrini Acute Care Nurses & Midwives EBA) Full Time and Part Time positions available.

To be considered for this role you will require the following attributes: Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as a Registered Nurse. A bachelor’s degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent, or a bachelors degree in nursing or equivalent plus an approved postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. Proven clinical ability with knowledge of professional supervision and practice-based research.

Demonstrated capacity and initiative to operate with limited direction. Ability to problem solve, negotiate and communicate with staff and other service providers. Ability to promote and contribute to the activity and participation program by cofacilitating activities with consumers which support their recovery.
