What You Will Be Doing The Access and Assessment Team (AAT) is a community based initial comprehensive assessment service .The team conducts face-to-face holistic assessments in the Frankston, Mornington or Rosebud community clinics and / or the client’s home, providing subsequent referral and integrated planning strategies.
The Brief Intervention Mental Health Clinician works as part of the AAT supporting clients post initial assessment. Brief intervention is tailored to clients who require additional planning and coordination or brief intervention packages. Intervention packages may include crisis intervention, harm minimisation, anxiety management and therapeutic sessions focusing on areas such as Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation and Impulse Control skill building.
This is a Monday to Friday role with the option of part time or full time to suit your lifestyle. What You Need We anticipate you will have: • Registration as a Registered Nurse, Social Worker, OT or Clinical Psychologist • Post graduate qualification in Mental Health or specialist undergraduate Mental Health program (Registered Nurse only) • Extensive experience in the mental health field including acute in-patient services and/or community mental health care.
