ICT Security Specialist

Reporting to the Head of ICT and Software Development, the Risk & Cyber Security Specialist role is responsible for the ICT infrastructure, risk and cyber security within JJRyan Consulting Pty Ltd. ICT Infrastructure Management – You will be responsible for continually surveying JJRyan’s ICT infrastructure and strategically planning its expansion for the future. Cyber Security Culture and Awareness – You will be responsible for ensuring employees have an appropriate level of cyber security awareness in performing their day-to-day activities.

Make recommendations – You will be responsible for making recommendations to the Head of ICT and Software Development regarding cyber security risk and the proposed cost options for prevention. Policy and Procedures – You will be responsible for owning the cyber security policies and procedures as required by the organisation and ensure other general business policies consider Cyber Security relevant impacts. Information Security Management System – You will be responsible for the implementation and integration of JJRyan’s ISMS meet the ISO 27001:2013 cyber security maturity model and to bring JJRyan towards a successful ISO 27001 certification.

About the role - Key Accountabilities Key tasks of the role include but are not limited to: Establish cyber security program and ensure companywide understanding and awareness of cyber security, ensure system and data security is maintained, ensuring the companies infrastructure is not compromised. Develop implement and maintain cyber security standards, policies, and procedures. Ensure existing business policies take into consideration key aspects of cyber security practises, backup, and disaster recovery.

Architect and establish an Information Security Management System (ISMS) based on ISO27001:2013 and the organisations risk profile. Provide first point of support for all staff. Troubleshooting and providing support by diagnosing and resolving/repairing hardware and software malfunctions.

Establish automated ICT support policies and procedures and maintaining reporting and documentation. Manage and plan the continuous expansion of the ICT infrastructure, ensuring the flawless compatibility of all components involved. Monitor and adjust the JJRyan network and making recommendations for future expansions.

Plan and implement the migration of JJRyan infrastructure into the cloud. Liaising with hardware suppliers, software and security vendors and recommending cost effective solutions. Maintain the company databases architecture and implement backup and recovery procedures.

Managing risk and cyber security by protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures. Maintain and oversee the company website and its development and continuous deployment including smaller code changes and development.
