The Organisation Our client is a small federal government agency that contributes to Indigenous Australians' quality of life through the delivery of accommodation and support services across its national network of accommodation facilities, enabling access to a broad range of education, employment, health and other services. The Opportunity The agency is embarking on a project to renew almost all aspects of its ICT infrastructure and support arrangements to create a modern, efficient, secure, and fit-for purpose environment tailored to the needs of the organisation. Get involved in a challenging ICT project in the government procurement space Work for a federal government agency that makes a real difference to Indigenous Australians' quality of life Benefit from a generous salary packaging program Report to a high performing Chief Information and Security Officer The Role You will manage RFQ and RFT processes for ICT equipment, software and managed services procurements.
During the procurement phase Take the lead on drafting RFQ and RFT specifications in close collaboration with business and technology areas as appropriate Coordinate industry briefings Ensure that all procurements are properly documented and are in accordance with relevant procurement rules Ensure that all evaluations are conducted fairly and ethically, and in accordance with best practice Maintain and report on procurement project plans and schedules During the contract management phase Administer new and existing ICT contracts Manage supplier relationships and performance Take the lead on contract governance Your Background and Experience To be successful in this role you must have experience in government ICT procurement and/or contract management. You'll have the following skills: A well-developed understanding of probity as it applies to government procurement Proven attention to detail Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal Proven ability to draft tender specifications and evaluation criteria Proven expertise in risk management as it relates to procurement and contract administration To be eligible for this role you must: Be an Australian citizen Be willing to undergo a police check Salary / Rate $99,717 - $102,959 15.4% Super Initial 6 month non-ongoing contract opportunity with possible extension How to Apply To apply online, please click on the appropriate link.
