To support our continued growth, we are searching for an HSE Advisor to join the team on a fixed term contract basis. About the Opportunity Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the project team to assist in delivering professional, timely and trusted outcomes, ensuring work is completed to a high standard in regards to Health, Safety and the Environment. We are looking for highly motivated, experienced, energetic HSE candidates with excellent communication skills.
The role will see the successful candidate working on our Tanami Project Site in the Northern Territory on a FIFO 2:1 roster and will be responsible for: Providing HSE advice and support to the project team to ensure compliance with relevant state HSE legislation, company and client requirements. Conducting internal and participating in external HSE audits, inspections and investigations Facilitate training/awareness sessions including Daily Prestarts, Toolboxes and VOCs Upholding and communicating the Valmec HSE Golden Safety Rules and working with the project team to implement strategies to improve HSE performance Assisting with the implementation of the HSE Management System on the project including maintaining relevant registers and databases. Qualifications, Skills and Experience 7 years site based HSE experience, preferably in Mining or Oil and Gas Industry.
Prior experience in mining civil construction and bulk earthworks projects working for a contractor would be advantageous.
