THE ROLE Ampion currently has an offer an exciting hands-on accounting role within our finance department in our Head Office in Melbourne. This will be a varied and interesting role with excellent career growth potential and prospects. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate at least 2 to 3 years in a similar role, have a keen eye for detail, strong work ethic and be motivated to grow their career in accounting.
Our team will provide the right candidate with the tools and support to help you excel in your role. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the month end close process to ensure accuracy and timeliness by the required deadlines Banking & balance sheet reconciliations Assist with month-end reporting Assist with the preparation of data for compliance activities (payroll tax, BAS etc.) Generation of purchase orders, invoices and management of related processes Management, posting & related processes for vendor bills and journals Assist with the management of accounts receivable and collections Responding to external suppliers, auditors and internal staff regarding queries Assist with all other finance related tasks as directed KEY REQUIREMENTS Prior experience with financial accounting processes Prior experience in a similar position for 2 to 3 years Degree in Commerce, Accounting or a related discipline Completed CPA or CA (or undertaking study with majority completion) Willingness to learn and work as part of a team Experience with an ERP system (Netsuite or SAP preferred) and advanced Excel Ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team environment Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with staff in all areas of the business Good verbal and written communication skills.
