The Role Toll People are seeking an experienced Storeperson / Vehicle Parts Interpreter with a background in the Road Transport Industry.
This position is to provide all the parts required and all administration functions for the efficient operation of the Heavy Vehicle Workshop. You will be responsible and accountable for the inventory store including ordering parts, booking out parts, ensuring minimum and maximum quantities are held at all times, locating parts and all administration functions connected in the effective / efficient running of the Workshops located in South Australia. Joining a supportive team based at Dry Creek, you will require good communication skills with Divisional Managers, Supervisors, Equipment Operators and Workshop Staff.
Key Responsibilities The inventory store and ordering parts Processing and putting away / locating parts Ensure parts are purchased at the best price with the best service available Processing invoices and job cards and general clerical duties & assistance as required Answering phones and handling enquiries Monitoring and recording parts and tools removed from the store Pick-up and delivery of parts as required Maintaining all records and documentation Ensuring all major expenditure is approved before purchase Maintaining quality and urgency in the work performed Work at different locations as required Perform Stocktakes as required Be responsible for the cleanliness and presentation of the store and work area Ensure that appropriate personal protective equipment is worn in the workplace Actively prompt the Toll Values with the core belief that all injuries are preventable Demonstrate safety at Toll adopting the principals of "Safety Obsessed" Follow Toll Policies, Processes and Procedures Participate in incident investigations, tool box & safety meetings, identifying hazards Complete work within the KPI's in line with Toll requirements Skills & Experience Current Forklift licence with relevant experience Road Transport experience and industry knowledge Highly self-motivated with leadership abilities Knowledge of mechanical components General technical knowledge Experience in a workshop environment Good communication skills Multi skilled and ability to work unsupervised Numeracy and literacy Computer skills and data entry experience Benefits Monday to Friday operation 10 hour shifts $37.24 per hour (flat rate) 14.75% superannuation Great Adelaide location Working at Toll At Toll, we're proud to be a leading integrated logistics provider in the Asia Pacific region.
