Job Description: Position Title: Clinical Nurse Educator Employment Type: Permanent, Full- time Hours per week: 38 hours Position Grade: Clinical Nurse Educator Year 1 & 2 Salary: $97,871.34 to $101,049.02 Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations' Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2017 Department Name: Xavier 7 South Position Summary: A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Educator with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team.
Xavier 7 South is a high acuity surgical ward with multiple specialties including Orthopaedics, Plastics, Urology, and Gynaecology. Our progressive and innovative team offers development opportunities for our staff and a caring environment for the delivery of high quality patient centred care. The successful applicant will be expected to be able to work to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing and other clinical staff in the clinical environment of St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney as required.
The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of the clinical education needs of staff working within a clinical environment in collaboration with the Nursing Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultants and Stream Manager. The Clinical Nurse Educator will ensure all staff both transient and permanent have equitable access to educational support and resources to enhance their clinical competence. The role will ensure evidence based practice principles have been utilised in the development of policies and procedures within the clinical environment and broader organisation.
The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for ensuring that the education delivered is current and based on the best available evidence This position requires a Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the Office of the Children's Guardian.
