Splunk Detection and Monitoring Operations Analyst About the Role Salary: SNSW 9/10 - $111,806 - $134,667 plus leave loading and superannuation Location:  Head Office – Haymarket Employment Status: 12 months temporary with view to ongoing. Service NSW makes it easier to access government services for people and businesses across NSW.  We are looking for passionate Splunk Detection and Monitoring Operations Analyst.

About Our Team: In our PaaS team (Platform as a Service) we pride ourselves on being responsive to customers’ needs, consistently delivering value to the people of NSW and Deliver innovative digital experiences that make a fundamental difference We collaborate closely with other teams to architect and implement the right solutions, applying lean problem-solving to deliver value within a complex ecosystem. You will Work directly with a variety of clients to gather requirements and understand monitoring systems and business requirements Design and document solutions to report and integrate with enterprise systems Scope and estimate effort involved in the delivery of Splunk solutions Deliver Splunk solutions including install, configuration, data on boarding and creation of knowledge objects and deliver them to the client and / or operations team Build integrations and custom solutions using a variety of technologies such as Python scripts and Rest API.

Collaborate with Splunk Peers and Platform Manager to deliver and lead cross-departmental and small client projects from conception to completion. Drive resolution of issues identified via application and systems monitoring. Communicate with key stakeholders on infrastructure, deployments details, etc.

associated to project delivery and Business operation teams as required Provide skilled guidance and mentoring for Splunk architecture designs, solution reviews and code review processes. Independently able to identify problem areas and create fitting solutions  Qualification and Skills 3 years’ experience within an Enterprise-level Splunk environment  Demonstrated experience and ability to building Splunk Solutions Expert in working with large data sets Team Orientated, Stakeholder Management, Project Delivery Advanced knowledge of integration with Enterprise level systems Experience with web servers and database platforms Experience with building dashboards or other User interfaces Experience in creating technical documentation Familiarity with use of code repositories such as GIT or Bitbucket Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements Splunk Administration certification  Desirable Splunk Architect certification  Security specific certification and qualifications Cloud technology certifications Enthusiastic about collaborating with software developers to architect solutions and improve existing processes and systems Experience with APM monitoring too.
