Teacher – Paralowie Yalumba Drive Goodstart is Australia’s largest early learning provider. As a not–for–profit social enterprise, we exist purely to improve the lives of Australia’s children and their families. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Teacher to co-develop programs and practices that are responsive to our children’s needs and aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard. Goodstart Early Learning Paralowie Yalumba Drive is located in Adelaide’s North, in a safe and sound pocket of suburbia. The service caters for 100 children, catering to all early learning age groups with four rooms - Nursery, Toddler, Kindy and Pre-school room – as well as before school, after school and vacation care for children to 12 years.
The centre is open from 6.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday.
The educators’ are dedicated and passionate carers who strive to form strong bonds with the children and families at the centre. Their priority is working with parents and families to identify the children’s individual interests and learning needs, then tailoring their approach to provide a high-quality learning program which is both play and routine based. Links with the local community is also something they pride themselves on.
The centre’s community is built around schools, families and children and at the heart of their philosophy is helping children become active members of their community and growing to be successful lifelong learners. Inside, all of the rooms - from Nursery to Kindergarten - are all set up in line with an Early Years Learning Framework, with sensory and play based learning opportunities. Colourful, stimulating surrounds ensure the children have the chance to grow and develop through sensory, play-based learning.
Your role Hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved) Hold a current SA Teachers Registration and First Aid qualification Work in a well-resourced centre, working within the Pre Kindy room (3 to 4yrs) Champion positive and meaningful relationships with children Centre has incursions and excursions in place Full-time, permanent role commencing immediately – 38 hours per week across 5 days (Monday to Friday) You will be part of our supportive culture and have access to a qualified mentor to support your professional development and growth.
