In this role you will: Provide a high-quality Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention service that is evidence based and solutions focused.
Manage a mixed caseload with complex and varied needs. Be able to work with clients of all ages, their families and carers to identify strengths, skills and goals. Use appropriate assessment tools and methods to assess strengths and areas of development, in order to identify suitable intervention strategies.
Be able to deliver therapy in a variety of environments, e.g. centre based, schools/preschools, group homes, homes and via telehealth.
Demonstrate and embody Northcott values; ‘innovative, respectful and brave’. Contribute proactively to the ongoing development of professional knowledge and skills within the Occupational Therapy profession. Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy.
Current AHPRA registration. Experience delivering evidence based therapy to a paediatric, adolescent and/or adult caseload. Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and administrative responsibilities in an autonomous, efficient and effective manner.
An understanding of the NDIS framework and working within a fee for service model is desired. Be able to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrate excellent communication skills – written, oral and listening.
Demonstrate excellent computer skills. Hold a current First Aid Certificate (including CPR) or willingness to obtain one. Hold a current NDIS Screening Check that is less than 6 months old or willingness to obtain one.
