Liberty Bell Bay is Australia's only ferro-alloy producer, operating four arc furnaces and a Sinter Plant to produce high-carbon ferromanganese, silicomanganese and sinter. About the roleReporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day supervision and workload management across finance. You will also be accountable for driving value add and supporting key strategic initiatives from a commercial perspective. Responsibilities will include: Ensuring timely and accurate completion of statutory accounts and all other external reporting Financial governance and effectiveness of internal controls to manage all financial risks Implementing process efficiency within the finance function Drive and implement strong financial processes and reporting that are in aligned to strategic business drivers Being the points of contact for managers to coordinate finance efforts across operations Evaluating and analysing business unit growth as well as identifying opportunities to increase profitability Developing commercial capability within the business teams About your experienceYou are an experienced Financial Controller who has similar experience within a large-scale commercial, manufacturing, or heavy industry operation.
You are someone who is team oriented but is also independent and objective in their approach with the ability to identify and understand key drivers in a complex commercial environment. To be successful in this role, you will have: Relevant Accounting, Finance, Commercial tertiary qualification CA/CPA Experience in large ERP systems – SAP ideally Proven financial accounting, modelling and project evaluation experience Strong Leadership and influencing skills Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to present complex information in a clear and effective manner Have the demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross functional team orientated environment at all levels of the organisation Next stepsAcross our different business units, we offer career opportunities for people who share our drive, passion and ambition.
