HSEQ Manager â€“ Maintenance ContractWood
Wood is currently seeking expressions of interest for a potential HSEQ Manager on a key maintenance contract to be based in our Melbourne office. You will be instrumental in ensuring that all safety programs are aligned to the overall Health and Safety strategic plan. This job requires close cooperation with contract personnel and the global & regional HSEQ teams.
More specifically this will include: Lead, direct and be the business expert in Workplace Health & Safety Provide managerial level safety leadership through leading and active participation at safety meetings and inspections Support the senior business team’s operational responsibility for safety through leadership, direction and expert counsel Analyse workplace injury statistics, risk management, and causation data to develop processes that eradicate injury from the workplace Ensure HSEQ policies, processes and systems are updated in line with legislation to support the ongoing monitoring and reporting of safety performance Manage workplace incident investigation processes and where required liaise with WorkSafe Victoria Report safety leading indicators to the Contract Manager and Leadership Team Lead incident investigations, coordinating internal and external stakeholders. Attend courses and conferences in order to maintain and develop professional skills Strong relationship building skills and the ability to engage with key stakeholders and understand the various HSEQ needs and requirements Previous HSE experience working in either the water and/or oil and gas industry is highly regarded Proven leadership skills gained within an ongoing culture of change Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment Ability to drive increased engagement both within your team and the wider business Strong communication and seamless influencing skills Relevant experience in construction/maintenance sectors would be ideal A desire to be hands-on with a "can-do" attitude Experience in conducting operational risk assessments Relevant experience in training and coaching at various levels of an organization Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
