The role: Based in Alexandria our Sales Technical Engineer is critical to our sales success.
The role will be working with Channel Partners, Business Development Managers, Product Development and Operations teams in the sales, design and implementation of 5B solutions to customers from different segments. Although your main deliverables are providing technical support and preparing commercial quotes to assist in sales success; you will use your engineering capability in collaborating with product development and assisting with innovation initiatives. Key Deliverables: Analyse customer technical documentation and propose a design for the system including layout, string arrangement, wiring schematic and single line diagram.
Prepare technical and commercial offers, including cost calculations, and definition of delivery model. Develop solutions, aligning the company’s product set with customer’s requirements, optimising the offer to the end user benefit in terms of technical performance and reduction in costs. Participate in meetings with clients when needed and verifying the technical feasibility and compliance with specification.
Management and improvement of the Pricing Tool, including technical and commercial inputs. Create, manage and maintain customer relationships and sales pipeline. Build relationships with internal teams to keep technical and commercial data updated.
Are you the Allstar we are searching for? You will be an Electrical Engineering graduate with a minimum 5 to 7 years working in the Energy Sector including Solar. You will have a good working knowledge of Australian electrical standards and industry practice and previous experience with contract management. You will be proficient in drawing tools such as AutoCAD and SketchUp and Excel programming.
