Fire Rescue Victoria are seeing an experienced Contract Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Your new company Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) is a modern fire and rescue service that meets the needs of twenty-first century Victoria. Established on 1 July 2020 as part of Victoria's Fire Services Reforms, FRV serves and protects communities across Melbourne and Victoria's major regional centres from 85 FRV fire and rescue stations across the state.
Its career firefighters operate 47 fire stations in metropolitan Melbourne and 38 regional stations, most of which are co-located with CFA volunteer brigades. FRV proudly continues to work alongside the Country Fire Authority (CFA), which is a community-based volunteer fire service. Your new role The primary purpose of the position of the Contract Manager position is to provide strategic and operational management and leadership pertaining to this client's contracts.
The Contract Manager will be responsible for providing advice and input into the development of contracts, preparing contract management plans for leaders that identifies strategic opportunities and areas for improvement and undertaking regularly review of contracts to maximise full potential in line with the organisation's objectives and reporting requirements. Key responsibilities of the role include: Providing advice and influencing the management of contracts as well as recommendations on issues in regards to contract management Developing contract management plans and identify strategic risks, challenges and opportunities, preparing reports and briefing to influence executive level planning and decision making contracts, as directed by Category Manager Maintenance of FRV contract register in consultation with other members of procurement team Providing guidance and support to contract manager on management of contracts Management of contracts, as directed by category manager Providing reports to management, as required Undertaking reviews of contracts Represent the organisation on internal working groups and committees Providing inputs in and assist Category Managers in the management of contracts Maintaining a reporting regime for contractor performance What you'll need to succeed Attributes and skills required to be successful in this role include: A forward thinking and proactive nature Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence Analytical thinking and problem solving skills Appropriate CIPS certification for procurement or equivalent preferred Tertiary qualification in procurement or contract management desirable At least 5 years sourcing and contract management experience Experience in Victorian Government highly regarded Experience using SAP and/or other ERP systems Intermediate Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and WHATIF Report and brief writing skills What you'll get in return This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly reputable emergency service that exists to serve, support and pr....
