Rare opportunity to join an International manufacturer in the Defence industry as a Marine Engineer Your new company Our client is an International subcontractor in the growing Australian Defence industry. Following continuous project wins and future growth plans, they are now seeking to expand their team in Sydney with a Marine Engineer. Your new role You will be joining an experienced and forward-thinking Engineering team and report directly into the Production Manager.
You will be responsible for the Engineering support of a marine products and equipment based in Sydney. You will play an integral part in the success of this project and support the broader engineering capability of the business. Your key responsibilities to achieve success include: Provide engineering and technical support including hands on integration and trouble shooting.
Support the identification and management of technical risk within the project and support project team in risk management reviews Ensure that the assigned aspects of the overall engineering effort for the project are controlled, efficient, and achieving the required outcomes for the project. Engineering support management of in-service diving and hyperbaric equipment Assist in the assembly and testing of prototype equipment and assist with R&D Development of requirements, design documents, test procedures and test reports. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will require the following: Knowledge and understanding of through life support maintenance Well-developed technical background preferably with Marine Engineering experience In-depth knowledge of the operation of Military equipment and systems Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is well regarded Currently hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance What you'll get in return You will have the opportunity to join a multinational leader in the Defence industry while they go through an exciting expansion period.
