Health and Safety Coach- NSWG8 Education

About the role: We are currently seeking a Health and Safety Coach to join our team on a full time basis for an initial 12 month period.
The Safety Coach will use their excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills to support G8 Education network to continuously improve their safety practices. In partnership with operational leaders and the People and Culture team, the Safety Coach will drive the implementation of documented safety systems, support operational leaders to develop a proactive safety culture and support continuous improvement through the monitoring, reporting and escalation of improvement actions through to completion. Key responsibilities include: Continuous Improvement Assist in the continuous improvement and implementation of documented systems of work in consultation with key stakeholders to identify and implement improvement opportunities Monitor local Health and Safety performance and assist operational leaders to identify trends and implement improvement opportunities Maintain, monitor and review team safety incident investigation system, ensuring improvement actions are recorded and completed within agreed timeframes and support escalation process for outstanding actions.
Assist in the identification of new or emerging risks Contribute to the G8 Education safety strategy Implementation Build strong relationships with operational leaders and centre team members to support the operational implementation of G8 Educations safety strategy Coordinating and facilitating timely expert safety coaching, advice and assistance to G8 Education operational leaders Provide local Health and Safety support in Crisis and Emergency situations in area of responsibility Support local implementation of incident reporting and investigation framework In partnership with G8 Educations operational leaders, coordinate informal and formal learning opportunities for the G8 Education network In consultation with the Rehabilitation and Return to Work and People and Culture team, assist in the management of open workers compensation claims and return to work programs Monitoring, Reporting and Review Provide exceptional customer service to the operations team as defined in the Safety Service level agreement Contribute to measuring the performance and outcomes of the safety strategy and provide recommendations for inclusion for future years Monitor the WHS risk register and coordinate the completion of agreed actions and provide reports to determine the adequacy, suitability and strength of current risk mitigations, strategies and controls.
