Territory Sales Manager - Western Districts VIC & SAAgricultural Appointments
Client Our client is the world leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of solutions for animal identification, monitoring, farm management and traceability. This company provides data driven solutions used by farmers and companies to manage hundreds of millions of animals worldwide, empowering farmers to act in a timely manner to trace animals and safeguard their health and wellbeing, while achieving optimal production outcomes for a healthy and sustainable food supply. Role The purpose of this role is to drive sales via a direct to farm distribution model to achieve revenue targets.
You will manage existing end user (farmer) relationships as well as building new relationships with end users to drive increased uptake and commitment to purchase leading edge animal monitoring systems and products. Responsibilities Maximise the sales and market share growth of the monitoring products in line with annual sales budgets, managing a defined geographical territory that includes direct famer customers, as well as advocates & influencers Ensure all marketing campaigns are well executed within the territory to maximise the sales of the promoted products Execute key account/territory specific selling initiatives and marketing campaigns Provide product training to industry personnel/end users and conduct on-farm visits to sell the monitoring products Identify, establish and maintain strategic relationships with key opinion leaders/influencers and advocates in your territory Devise and deliver key end user focused activities within the territory to uncover further business opportunities and maximise sales Requirements Technical: Minimum 1-3 years relevant commercial experience in a sales related role Knowledge of the dairy industry and practices is essential Tertiary qualifications in an Agricultural/Business (or similar) related discipline is desirable, though not essential Personal: Demonstrable sales skills and commercial acumen Well-developed skills in negotiating, influencing and establishing collaborative working relationships Highly developed territory management skills including time management, prioritisation and objective setting Ability to work autonomously and also be a contributive and collaborative team member despite physical isolation Highly developed written, oral communication and presenting skills Highly developed IT skills and capabilities across Microsoft Office suite Ability to analyse data and present analysis to external and internal stakeholders Regular time and travel away from home is expected according to business needs – approx. 3 nights per week Location and Remuneration Location is flexible but the preferred base location is around the Warrnambool/Mt Gambier area.
