Drafter Roads and Highways SMEC Perth WA Full-time The role We are currently seeking Civil Drafters at intermediate levels to contribute to the development and production of 2D project CAD deliverables as part of the Technical Services Team in our Perth office and on major transport projects in Perth as well as supporting civil infrastructure projects in our other offices. You will be offered the opportunity to continue your career off the back of our successful track record winning major transport infrastructure projects and gain highly valued multifaceted professional civil drafting experience. As a minimum you will have experience of projects which include drainage, earthworks, rail and associated civil infrastructure and possess: 5 to 8 years experience working on major transport (road & rail) projects in a similar role Diploma, Advanced Diploma or equivalent professional tertiary Civil Design Drafting qualification AutoCAD (preferred) and Microstation software skills as a minimum Use of or knowledge of other software packages such as 12D would be beneficial the ability to work well within a team and a positive attitude to your work strive to deliver CAD for projects on time and to budget communicate effectively with Project Managers and engineers drive and influence CAD drawing best practice Experience in the production of CAD documentation to Transport Authority Standards (e.
g. PTA, Main Roads WA & AustRoads Standards) from concept stage to construction and as-built drawings will also be beneficial.
