Opportunity: The Site Capital Projects Manager is a key member of the site leadership team and plays a critical role in the global capital projects organization. This role presents a unique opportunity to help create then lead the site sustaining capital project organization for the Plant, a world-class resources manufacturing facility. The Site Capital Projects Manager will lead a team of 6 -9 project professionals in the safe, competitive, and predictable execution of the annual capital portfolio.
Role responsibilities: Forecasts the future site project needs to maintain appropriate staffing & organizational capability to support operations (continuity, environmental, safety, quality), improve productivity (cost, incremental capacity), or grow the business. Collaborates with other site functions to ensure best utilization of shared, site resources. Ensures the company Project Process (APP) is utilized on all capital projects, including proper project development during evaluate and select stages.
Accountable for compliance with all company standards, codes, and specifications. Ensures all site project managers develop critical project plans, schedules, cost estimates, and delivery strategies. Ensures that project funding estimates input are compiled and submitted correctly and timely with a high degree of accuracy.
Ensure that technical content and quality of designs and installation meet or exceed commitments to the GBU. Leads site efforts to ensure proper monitor, control, and reporting of all contractor activities. Takes necessary corrective actions to ensure safe delivery of projects.
Ensures all installation/construction issues, commissioning, start-up, and site training related to new designs and installations are properly addressed, documented and shared for lessons learned. Ensures best in class project documentation and materials retention. Maintains current knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and research to apply for continuous project improvement.
What's required: 10 Years of experience in a petrochemical or similar industrial environment 4 Years working experience as an engineer or construction representative in a petrochemical or industrial manufacturing environment with progressive demonstration of experience on capital projects in all stages/phases.
