Your role in our future. The Workshop Deputy Supervisor position involves supporting the Workshop Supervisor in the co-ordination and day to day running of the Workshop. You will be part of a team in the design and manufacturing of specialized equipment for Radiotherapy, Research and other departments within PeterMac, and external customers.

A trade certificate in Fitting/ Machining and Toolmaking is a prerequisite for this position. The applicant is required to be proficient in the operation of manual machinery including lathe, milling machine. Experience in CAD CAM, CNC machine programming and operation is preferred .

Experience in 3D printing fabrication and welding would be an advantage. You would need to have good office computer skills and have had experience in a supervisory capacity in your career. Excellent team and customer focused skills along with the ability to communicate and interact with customers and colleagues.

The successful applicants role will be broad and varied. Primarily you will be working as part of a small team that designs, manufactures, modifies, and repairs equipment for Radiotherapy and most departments of the hospital. The position is both administrative and hands on.
