The Opportunity An exciting opportunity is available for a Team Leader Recreation & Community Facilities who will be responsible for service delivery, social interaction, connectedness and place making.
The activation (sport and recreation) service area is responsible for the planning and coordination of Council’s recreation and community facilities within the context of neighbourhood planning. Responsibilities Lead, develop and manage a team to improve innovatively, internal and external customer experiences. Coordinate the operational and administrative logistics across a number of bookable spaces, ensuring the facilities are clean, safe and well maintained for a diverse range of user groups; Manage relevant budget expenditure and provide reports on operating and expenditure to inform financial management and accountability; Develop and effectively manage the hire agreements for Council’s community facilities in accordance with legislative requirements and Council’s policies and procedure; and Coordinate and have a strategic role in conjunction with other relevant departments to develop and implement planning tools and resources to create a deeper and real time accuracy to understand the current and future users’ needs and opportunities.
About You Bachelor Degree in business (or similar customer service driven field) with relevant experience in administration are essential; Experienced in leading and managing a customer/community focused team; Experienced in leading and/or managing continuous improvement projects and/or process improvements initiatives; Demonstrated competence and experience in using a range of software programs, including booking systems is preferred; and Current and valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
