The Members’ Solutions division of ELAA cares for our community through the provision of specialist advice and support. Description Position Summary As part of the Members’ Solutions team, the Workplace Relations Advisor will provide exceptional service to ELAA members and other early childhood service providers through tailored Industrial Relations and Human Resources advice.
This is a full-time permanent role that practically applies IR and HR solutions to our members via phone and email. The key objective of the role is to apply knowledge and problem-solving skills to enable swift, accurate and practical interpretation of employment legislation and regulations, including the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards and National Employment Standards relating to early childhood services. This role will also design and deliver education and training sessions as part of ELAA’s professional learning and development calendar and may include may include supporting the cyclical negotiation processes for the Victorian Early Childhood Teachers and Educators Agreement.
Key Responsibilities Overall, the key areas of responsibility include: Providing high-level support and advice (written and verbal) related to agreements/awards, relevant legislation, payroll, Human Resources practices and policies for ELAA Members and early childhood service providers in the early childhood and care education sector Establishing and maintaining relationships with both new and existing members and other service providers including following up to ensure advice given meets requirements Designing and delivering high-quality, tailored Industrial Relations and Human Resources training programs to members and other early childhood service providers Proactively identifying and actioning the need for ELAA Industrial Relations and Human Resources material to support member self-sufficiency and ensuring work practices and processes are documented to enable swift issue resolution Developing practices to ensure that resources are maintained to reflect relevant Industrial Relations’ and Human Resources’ legislation and promote quality outcomes Supporting the cyclical negotiation of the Victorian Early Childhood Teachers and Educators Agreement Sharing knowledge an....
