Adelaide based training organisation requires an experienced bookkeeper to join their small and dedicated team of professionals. Exciting expansion plans will soon be underway which now requires an energetic, dynamic, passionate and super organised individual to join their team in the position of Bookkeeper. The primary focus of this role is to work with the external Accountant to prepare and examine financial records, make sure those records are accurate, paid properly and on time. Providing trust in the numbers by ensuring accuracy in all high-volume transaction and processing, end-of-month functions, including payroll, as well as reconciliations.
You will maintain financial security and confidentiality by adhering to legal requirements and Australian compliance standards. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Prepare, examine and ensure financial records are accurate. Responsible for accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Monthly financial reporting. Generating fee invoices Making fee plans for the students Handling fees refund, reimbursements and petty cash Attending to student and supplier enquiries regarding fees Collection of due fees in line with procedures Monthly PAYG, BAS & GST. Preparation and management of payroll and superannuation processing Handling sensitive information in a confidential manner.
General administrative support and other ad-hoc duties. Key Selection Criteria: Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar Bookkeeping role Preferably a certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping Have a mastery of MYOB (cloud), Excel and Microsoft Office Positive attitude, sound work ethic and dependable Be sincere, professional, empathetic and trustworthy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Have great presence on the phone Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities Excellent organisational and time management skills This is a fantastic role offering an attractive salary, stability and security, where great work is recognised and rewarded, and no two days are ever the same An immediate start is available to facilitate best training and handover, but not essential.
