Brilliant opportunity to join an industry leading Defence contractor in the growing WA Defence industry Your new company Our client is an International supplier in the growing Western Australian Defence industry. Following continuous project wins and future growth plans, they are now seeking to expand their team in Perth with an Electronics Technician Your new role You will be joining an experienced and forward-thinking team and report directly into the Maintenance Manager. You will play an integral part in the success and growth of this growing organisation and support the broader capability of the business.
You will be responsible for the fault finding, rectification and overall testing of communications and radar sub systems. Key responsibilities include but not limited to: Carry out technical maintenance and repair in accordance with approved maintenance instructions and procedures. Perform site and workshop-based maintenance on advanced electronic equipment such as communication and electronics control systems.
Carry out rectification of deficiencies and defects within the site systems and/or in a workshop environment. Assembly, calibration and testing of electronic and communications components and installations. Assist in failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework/repair of non-conforming manufactured product to determine root cause.
Assist Engineering to perform tests, gather data, and write results/reports on common faults, equipment failures and design enhancements. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will require the following: Previous experience in a similar role within the defence environment Strong communication skills UHF / Radar experience Ability to understand and interpret schematic drawings Electrical/Electronic/Communications Trade Qualifications Currently hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance What you'll get in return You will have the opportunity to join a progressive and forward-thinking supplier the Defence industry while they go through an exciting expansion period.
