Project Manager - Hospital Building Assets
HaysClient-side Project Manager Position, Public Hospitals, Building & Asset Projects, Temp to Perm Opportunity Your new company An established health care provider managing public hospitals and community based services is seeking a client-side Project Manager to join a small internal team to assist with managing and delivering end-to-end minor and major building and engineering asset projects to further support Hospital operations, clinical staff and large construction growth at across 4 sites. Offering an initial 4-6-month opportunity at an attractive hourly rate, this position intends to transition into a permanent ongoing role. This opportunity would be highly suitable for a motivated professional seeking further development and experience in client-side Project Management.
Your new role Reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for: Project managing a range of end-to-end building projects including chiller upgrades, fit outs and equipment renewals up to the value of $1million Liaising with Government stakeholders, external consultants, contractors and internal clinical staff members Developing project deliverables & progress reporting Financial analysis, cost control and documenting variances Managing project risks What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role, you will have: Qualifications in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical), Building & Construction, or Project Management Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end building projects Experience in a similar role in Government, healthcare, hospitals or aged care is highly desirable but not necessary Strong communication skills, soft skills and ability to communicate with challenging stakeholders An eye for detail Current driver's license What you will get in return Successful employment will present: The opportunity to join a passionate team and deliver projects (client side) for this health care provider across a few major hospital locations A friendly culture with support of senior staff and team members who value excellent communication skills, sound technical skills and a good sense of humour An attractive hourly rate $50-60 per hour Super and the opportunity to transfer into a full time ongoing permanent position 4-6 months into the assignment Work life balance and flexible start and finish times NOTE: Employees must obtain an Immunisation Health Clearance & National Police Check prior to placement.
