Business Development Manager

Your new company Hays Recruitment is proud to be partnering with Viatek in the recruitment of a Business Development Manager, based in Geelong or Ballarat, with preference for the successful person located in Geelong. Viatek is a services-based organisation delivering business solutions across all aspects of print, IT and communications.

This is a newly created position within Viatek and is a key role with a primary focus on generating new business within the region. Your new role As this is a newly created position, it is 100% a hunter role, however you will be supported by the wider team and have the ability to leverage of other areas of the business and Viatek's great reputation in the region. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties: Direct and participate in initiatives that generate revenue from new clients Create a well-qualified pipeline of prospective clients Engage and negotiate with key stakeholders Working closely with pre-sales and technical support teams Prepare quality proposals Deliver professional presentations on their diverse range of products and solutions Manage and report on pipeline activities and sales inputs Maintain strong knowledge of leading industry trends A full position description is available What you'll need to succeed To be considered for the role you must have demonstrated the following in previous positions: Extensive IT sales and business development experience is essential Proven ability to win new business and a demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets is critical Proven professional proposal writing and presentation skills Self-starter and self-motivated Professional and goal oriented Excellent communication skills Resilient and ability to work in a high-pressure environment Two references of direct managers What you'll get in return You will join a very high performing team with a strong sales culture comprised of Business Development Managers and Account Managers who are hungry and passionate about sales and IT.
