Capability & Role Design Specialist, Ongoing, SYDNEY or GOSFORD - Location flexible Our Capability & Role Design Team are in search for a proactive Advisor to work across the cluster in providing expert advice to build capability in role design to support mobility, workforce planning and transparency to support career pathways for employees. You will contribute to strategies, tools and systems for role design, role descriptions and libraries which meet the Organisation’s needs and comply with service wide requirements. This role contributes to workforce planning projects and activities to support future of work.
In this role you will be: Identifying current role descriptions for roles and/or current role descriptions that would align to needs Providing expert advice to promote and standardise role descriptions across multiple roles with a common function Providing expert advice and feedback on naming conventions and the content and format of role descriptions Updating and maintaining the Cluster role description tracker, library and RD development register Undertaking job evaluations and peer reviews Providing ANZSCO and PCAT codes for role descriptions Providing coaching to improve capability in the writing and review of role descriptions Contributing to the development of resources and guidance materials to support role design To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: Experience in role design and evaluation Accreditation in Mercer Job Evaluation and remuneration benchmarking Ability to work autonomously with a high level of attention to detail Experience in job evaluation methodology Relevant qualifications and /or demonstrated relevant industry experience Demonstrated ability to collaborate with key business stakeholders to facilitate organisation effectiveness Ability to balance meeting customer needs while complying with required role design standards Experience in influencing and negotiating mutually satisfactory outcomes Strong working knowledge of Excel to extract, interpret and represent data If you have any further questions regarding the position, please contact Tracy Nixon on 02 93727331.
