Assistant Scientist Ongoing opportunity, salary starting from $80,771 superannuation Exciting opportunity to support the strategic direction of Remote Sensing About the Role: Support senior remote sensing staff to deliver scientific projects through high quality image interpretation, GIS analysis and reporting. Provide timely advice and communication to project team members regarding project status and implementation issues including time and budget constraints. Provide support to project team members in undertaking tasks and implementing project plans as required.
Complies with WHS obligations and maintains awareness of WHS procedures to ensure projects are completed safely. About you: Relevant scientific qualifications, knowledge and experience of remote sensed imagery interpretation, analysis and assessment. Experience in supporting the delivery of native vegetation monitoring programs using established scientifically rigorous methods.
Experience with remote sensing and GIS software programs Ability to work as part of a geographically dispersed team or independently, be agile in responding to changes in tasking and proactively seek guidance when required. Understanding of the challenges in applying a rigorous method consistently in a high volume working environment.
