About the role We have an opportunity for a Multicultural Community Liaison Officer (MCLO) to be part of our North Shore Police Area Command (PAC) team. The Multicultural Community Liaison Officer is responsible for providing advice and support in the management of multicultural issues for NSWPF.
They establish and maintain close personal rapport, implement strategies to engage and work effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities and influence responsive and sensitive service delivery to these communities. The North Shore PAC is based in Chatswood. It covers 65.
62sq kilometres which extends from Sydney Harbour north to Killara. The PAC is bordered by Northern Beaches, Ku-rin-gai, Ryde and Marine Area Commands. The area comprises a diverse community, both racially and economically.
The PAC is home to the Prime Minister, Premier and Governor General. North Sydney is the second largest CBD in Australia and has the third largest retail precinct in the state at Chatswood. There are numerous locations of interest within the PAC including Royal North Shore Hospital, Channel Nine and SBS TV studios, 2UE Radio studio, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Luna Park, Blues Point and Taronga Zoo.
