Payroll Manager


A multi-national, Australian organization specializing in cross industry maintenance services is looking for a Payroll Manager to join their HR team. The Payroll Manager will liaise with Finance, Corporate Services, and the wider internal/external community. This role is one of trust and calls for exceptional standards of integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy. Working closely with the Human Resources Team you will be intricately involved in the HRIS/ payroll system implementation and subsequently responsible for end-to-end payroll processing across Australia and New Zealand.

As the Payroll Manager you will: Work to ensure that accurate and efficient end to end payroll processing for Australian and New Zealand which includes PAYG, superannuation, employee benefits, workers compensation, parental leave, deductions, month/year end closing, salary sacrificing, reporting, reconciling etc. Interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements, Fair Work, and relevant Awards, ATO requirements and all other legislative requirements First point of contact and resolve any payroll related queries Work with the HR team process employee related changes, payroll adjustments, correspondence, onboarding/offboarding etc Payroll reporting, reconciliations, and end of year processing The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: Your Payroll expertise in a medium sized business environment 400 (casual and permanent) Understanding of Enterprise Agreements, employee entitlements, Fair Work, and relevant Awards, ATO requirements and all other legislative requirements. Your hands-on approach to strengthen and enhance the payroll function Your Payroll knowledge and ability to work across variety of EBA’s and legislation within a complex salary verses casual environment Capability in HRIS/payroll system implementation and associated policy and process establishment Experience with major payroll / time and attendance systems i.

e. Kronos, Chris21, Micropay or similar New Zealand Payroll processing experience would be well regarded, but not essential. Customer service will come naturally to you, along with the ability to be warm, engaging – you will be joining a high performing team so a proactive and responsive approach is essential to your success Trust is key to the success of this role and will be evident in relationships you have fostered and strengthened in the past.
