Job Description: Position Title: Clinical Nurse Consultant - Clinical Emergency Response System (CERS) Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Hours per week: 38 hours Position Grade: Clinical Nurse Consultant (Grade 3) Salary: $124,618.08 - $126,934.81per annum Enterprise Agreement: The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations' Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2017 Department Name: Clinical Practice & innovation Position Summary: A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Clinical Nurse Consultant with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team.

The successful applicant(s) will be expected to be able to provide expert clinical advice and consultancy to patients, carers and other health care professionals within a defined specialty . The Clinical Nurse Consultant is also expected to provide leadership that facilitates the ongoing development of clinical practice and initiates and utilises findings of research in the provision of clinical services.
The Clinical Emergency Response Systems (CERS) Clinical Nurse Consultant is the primary resource person for nursing, medical, allied health and telecommunications staff in all matters pertaining to the management of the day- to-day clinical and operational effectiveness of the CERS. The CERS operational and quality aspects are guided by the National Safety and Quality Healthcare Standards, Standard 8: Recognising and responding to Acute Deterioration and the New South Wales Clinical Excellence Commission’s ‘Between The Flags’ (BTF) Program. CERS related key performance indicators, along with other data collection and analysis, are reported to the SVHNS Standard 8 Committee and the NSW Ministry of Health (MOH).
The CERS portfolio includes the management and coordination of the CERS program, ‘Sepsis Kills’ program and ‘REACH’ programs and other related projects or initiatives as required.
