Colonial First State is a wealth management business that brings together funds management and distribution capability, as well as domestic insurance and financial advice for our customers. Within Colonial First State Operations Division is our Insurance and Employer Services division, who are responsible for the overall efficient settlement of Deceased Estate for Super Pension and Cash Products. We also assist our clients and their representatives in submitting Insurance Claims for Salary Continuance, Total and Permanent Disablement and Terminal Illness.

These claims are prepared and sent to our insurer for assessment and then returned to CFS for final Trustee review and payment. We have multiple opportunities available for an experienced Case manager to join our Insurance Claims and Deceased estates teams based at our Sussex Street Office. Do work that matters: Our Insurance Claims team is accountable for managing Life Insurance claims on behalf of our customers.

Our Life Insurance teams provides end to end claims management covering Insurance Claims, Early release of Super and Deceased Estates Investment Products. Our Deceased Estates team is responsible for the settlement of customer accounts with the bank who have passed on. We provide support to the beneficiaries of the Estate, and support with Probate and closure of customer accounts.

See yourself in our team: As a Case manager, you will be responsible for managing the end to end case management of life insurance claims or settlement of Estates on behalf of our customers. In any given week you will: Managing a portfolio of Life Insurance claims across products serviced by Colonial First State – this includes investment and superannuation products. Processing new claims and issue the relevant claim kit.

Communicating effectively with customers to ensure they are clear on claim requirements and processes. Building effective relationships with customers, third parties and internal stakeholders. Review received documents and follow up on any outstanding requirements via verbal and written channels.

Ensuring all decisions made in relation to a distribution of a Deceased Estate are in line with SIS Legislation and the Trust Deed. Answering all incoming queries relating to Life Insurance claims Processing payments upon finalisation of a claim. We're interested in hearing from people who have: We are looking for an experienced customer service professional with previous experience (ideally) within the insurance industry or managing deceased estates claims.

You are an empathetic individual who is able to support customers through difficult situations, ensuring they remain priority through the insurance claim process. You will also display strong stakeholder relationship building skills, able to keep all parties informed during the claims process. Other key capabilities include: Ability to understand and solve complex problems.
