Hymes Jr An Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) centre managed by a volunteer Parent Committee are seeking a Senior Educator to join their well-established team. The centre has a strong organisational structure in place to ensure the workload is evenly spread. There are multiple leadership positions at the centre, all with a different focus area which leads to an efficiently run centre.
This position is ideally suited to someone who already has 1-2 years experience working in OSHC and looking to move up, gain new experience, and enjoy that higher pay rate and additional responsibilities. Senior Educator role, be a part of the leadership team and help deliver quality care to children.
Step up into a leadership role & gain valuable experience working with 5-12 year old children. Work in a position where your role will be built around your strengths as time progresses. Tasks that you receive will be ones you are passionate about.
What would the role involve? Act as responsible person in charge from time to time for sessions. Lead, guide and support other educators. Act as a mentor and role model for other educators.
Split shifts, allowing for great work life balance. Start off with 13 hours a week, with more hours to come once the new Term starts and enrolments are settled. Admin hours and time off the floor can be added as you become more confident in your role.
Vacation Care, lots of fun holiday activities. About the centre? Located on school grounds with own premises on site. Licenced for around 130 children.
Uses QikKids for CCMS software. Approved Provider is a Volunteer Parent Management Committee, which means all funds go back into the service. Easy going, young, energetic team already in place.
This centre is located in a positive and supportive school community. Who are we looking for? Capable, passionate and hard working educator who has an understanding of the NQF, NQS, Framework, and so on. Experience working with children, especially in an OSHC / Childcare setting.
Ability to work well in a supportive team environment. Perfect opportunity for someone currently studying. CHCPRT001: Identify and respond to children and young people at risk - Accredited Child Protection (or willingness to obtain).
