Online Mentor - Full Stack Development


Guide our students through their course, inspire and engage with them, and offer support with coursework and material to enhance their progression. The Australian Institute of ICT (AIICT) is powered by DDLS, the largest provider of vendor-certified ICT training in Australia. At AIICT, our students get to study their way; from anywhere, at any time. Our industry-recognised courses equip our students to hit the ground running as soon as they complete their studies.

We are currently seeking an Online Mentor for our Full Stack Development students. Our mentors are an integral part of our success, and a champion of our student’s journeys. They embrace and lead change, and are future-focused, technologically advanced, and service-driven.

They develop and nurture relationships within the global development industry to encourage the best possible talent to be affiliated with our course. As this is an online role, you can be based on anywhere in Australia and would be required to be available for 9 – 12 hrs weekly Mon-Fri, including student communication between 6pm – 9pm AEST. Our ideal candidate: Would have a sound hands-on understanding of the fundamentals of software development and at least 5 years industry experience Microsoft Software Development and Microsoft Database Fundamental certification required DevOps Fundamental certification by DevOps Institute required A strong hands-on understanding of programming and in particular its application through Microsoft environment: Visual Studio, ASP.

NET Core, MVC, SQL Server A strong hands-on experience with DevOps adoption Foundation knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Concepts preferred but not essential Experience with IT Project Management preferred but not essential Previous experience in education is preferred, however not essential Previous experience in delivery of content is preferred, however not essential Coaching and mentoring experience is preferred, however not essential A solid understanding of key industry trends, news, latest innovation and data An understanding of how people learn, personality types and how to challenge and inspire different types of students / people The kind of person who would enjoy being a part of our team would: Be driven by success Have a respectful and professional manner Feel a sense of urgency to act Work well under pressure Demonstrate an enthusiastic and energetic presentation style Motivate and engage with key stakeholders Enjoy sharing knowledge What is most important to us is our amazing culture, which is focused on growth and opportunity, and the creation of an engagin.
