The company This large government agency has a combination of legacy systems and new cloud-based applications. They require a application specialist who is able to assist the support team, providing high quality customer service, excellent IT service management, application suport and support with the implementation of new initiatives. The role The Lead Application Specialist participates actively in an application management and application support team accountable for delivering activities associated with the application lifecycle.
The role ensures high-quality and responsive customer service, good practice IT service management, application support and maintenance (including legacy systems), and support for the implementation of new initiatives. The Lead Application Specialist provides sound, technical and professional advice to the role supervisor, and actively contributes to planning, system documentation and reporting. This is initially a 6 month contract with likely extension.
The role is a mixture of work from home and office based. Essential requirements Significant knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint Online administration (O365 Tennant administration experience preferred) Google GSuite Administration and other cloud based enterprise scale services. Significant knowledge and experience in the support, maintenance and management of enterprise scale applications, hosted on premise and in the cloud Sound working knowledge of IT service management principles and frameworks including ITIL, process tools, frameworks, and best practice methods.
