Senior Change Lead
Location of work: Parramatta, NSW Initial contract length: 6 months Overview: This major Federal Government department is seeking a Senior Change Lead to develop and implement change management strategies, plans and interventions across multiple change initiatives, to drive faster employee adoption, greater utilisation and proficiency for change initiatives, so that projects meet business, schedule and budget objectives. This role is responsible for influencing others across the organisation and for partnering with project teams to successfully deliver sustainable change. They will lead and influence project managers and teams in change management approaches.
The Senior Change Lead supports initiatives driven by the Centre of Excellence, Change Practice as well as provides ad hoc, interim Change Delivery support. Amongst the Technical, Personal and Programming Accountabilities are to: Develop and execute change management strategies and plans to maximise employee adoption and usage and minimise change resistance Regularly evaluate risks and develop solutions to address risks through appropriate interventions by leaders, project team or sponsors Apply the Department’s Change Management Framework to create and implement actionable change management deliverables Coach and influence the leaders and executives in the role of change maker and sponsor, and the front-line managers to effectively support their employees through the transition. Actively contribute to the CoE Change practitioners group and report on status of change on a monthly basis.
Manage change initiatives that can span 12 months to 5 years Mentor and coach junior change roles within the organisation to increase change capability within the change practice Provide enterprise support in the development and execution of initiatives driven out of the Change Practice and other Business Partner functions Provide leadership to direct reports (Change Specialists and Change Analysts) Build and maintain a strong, two way, trusting working relationship with the staff based on achieving the business goals and enabling subordinates to work to their fullest potential Set clear tasks, make accountabilities and authorities clear, and set effective baseline conditions for productive work Ensure systems of work and processes are effective, that the structure of the team supports the work to be done and that work is aligned across members of my team. About You: Education: Tertiary qualification in Change Management or Business related discipline Prosci and/or Change Management Institute Practitioner accreditation, or other certification deemed equivalent. Skills: Content management suite of tools (CMS, campaign management, analytics) we are leaning towards Adobe but this skill can be provider/system agnostic Experience managing change on a web re-platforming project Change Management on Agile projects Working with Brand and Communications, Customer Contact Centres, External (Customer) stakeholders and....
