Barringtons Recruitment GroupHR BP required for HR projects with government agency for initially 6 months contract. Great hourly rates immediate start. This role is situated in a highly visible State Government Department that employs thousands of staff with a wide range of responsibilities and skill sets in order to ensure that it operates effectively and efficiently.
As part of a well-developed HR team, your role is to focus on coaching and advising managers on a range of HR issues to deliver high quality HR policies and procedures to this state government department which operates in a highly customer centric environment. With guidance from and reporting to, the Senior HR Advisor, your focus will be working independently and be able to link your assigned work to strategic HR priorities. Key Duties and Responsibilities Business Partner role requiring a HR Practitioner with proven experience in collaborating with managers to improve business outcomes.
Ability to promote HR best practise, investigate complex HR issues and recommend solutions in accordance with legislation, policy and guidelines. Key Project priorities include: Operational workforce planning Implementation of the performance management process/es Improving staff engagement, leave management and Promotion of the new workplace issues policy and procedures Problem solving Ability to communicate effectively within a team environment Project coordination and administration activities Gather, organise and document information from various sources Contribute by developing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and working collaboratively with peers Selection Criteria: Strong interpersonal skills and experience in coaching and advising line managers. Must have sound verbal and numerical reasoning ability to interpret policies and procedures.
Proven background in workforce planning for key service delivery roles. Must be a self-starter, adaptable and a good problem solver. The role requires someone committed to continuous self-directed learning and professional development.
