Our client, a local family-owned company in the motor trade sector, is seeking a Qualified and Experienced Motor Vehicle Technician. Your primary purpose will be to carry out repairs, inspections, servicing and work instructions on repair orders as directed, to the highest standards. Your key responsibilities and accountabilities within this position will include (but are not limited to): Diagnose vehicle faults as necessary using the correct diagnostic equipment.

Carry out work as requested and ensure that all work carried out is detailed on the Repair Order in legible writing stating the fault, cause and rectification performed. Ensure every Repair Order is logged with the start and finish time by the computer time clock. Share problem fixing technique with other team members.

Attend training as per training requirements and needs. Ensure that cleanliness and quality of vehicles is of the highest standards. Ensure your tool kit complies with the standard set by the Service Manager/ Service Advisor.

Convey vehicles to and from sublet repairs if required. Carry out maintenance work when requested or as needed All tasks under the Direction of the Workshop Foreman To be successful within this position, you must possess: Relevant qualifications in motor vehicle repairs. Proven experience in a similar role.

A current manual driver’s licence Proven track record and experience in a similar role. Proven record of achieving designated targets and measured outcomes. Effective Time Management skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Commitment to quality assurance practices.

Ability to work under pressure.
