Your new role We are currently seeking the expertise of an accomplished ILS Engineer on a permanent basis to join a growing team in a dynamic and fast paced SME environment. The ILS Engineer will be reporting into the ILS Manager and responsible for ensuring the efficiency and cost effectiveness of logistic operations by employing life cycle cost modelling, logistics support analysis techniques and prediction simulation. Implementing Logistics policies and strategies.
Assisting in the response to tenders. Participate in project and technical review meetings. Development of ILS deliverables in accordance with project requirements (typically AUSDEFCON or derivative).
Defining and coordinating the required resources for the efficient running of logistics operations. Performing reliability, maintainability and availability analysis in accordance with the project plans in order to achieve the desired logistics requirements/outcomes. Performing Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis to support system architecture development and performance of other logistics analysis.
Performing Logistics Support Analysis, including Reliability, Availability and Maintainability, Failure Mode Effects and Criticality, Analysis, Life Cycle Cost modelling, Level of Repair Analysis, Maintenance Task Analysis and Sparing Assessment, during the development of products/processes to improve and streamline logistic operations during the in-service phase of the product lifecycle. What you’ll need to succeed Ideally, you’ll be an experienced ILS professional with least 5 years overall experience within the defence industry. Coupled with a tertiary degree in Engineering/or an electronics trade certification, you’ll also require in-depth knowledge of logistics theory and techniques, including the following: Experience across all ILS disciplines; LSA, Technical Publications, Training, Support Current NV1 clearance or the ability to obtain Sound knowledge of AUSDEFCON requirements Experience in defence acquisition projects Strong communication skills Extensive stakeholder engagement/management experience Strong analytical skills If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' or forward an up-to-date copy of your CV to megan.
