Livestock Attendant (Thoroughbred Horses) A rare opportunity for a highly experienced livestock attendant ready for a significant career move into a progressive rural and regional thoroughbred horse stable. Stephen Jones t/as Stephen Jones Racing is an organisation that delivers excellence in care and training of thoroughbred horses. Our operations are primarily based at Scone whilst also having responsibilities across nearby locations in North West NSW.

Role Taking instructions from our Stable Manager regarding day to day operations Executing individualised care and health programs Conducting our daily exercise schedule Overseeing our horses at race track meetings Overseeing the daily nutritional and veterinary needs of our horses Maintaining records of stable operations in compliance with the "Rules of Racing" Directing cleaning contractors to maintain appropriate hygiene standards Preferred Criteria High level equestrian experience Ability to work under limited supervision and to comply with schedules and plans Good verbal and written communication skills Professional presentation Essential Criteria A minimum of six years full time experience as an equestrian professional; Physically fit; and Prepared to obtain police certificates, or other statutory clearances and licenses as required. B. Stephen Jones Racing is a strictly drug and alcohol free work place What we offer For a candidate meeting the criteria for this position we offer a salary of $55,000 - $78,000 per annum. Active encouragement to develop your career through further training will also be provided.
