Senior Associate Audit and Assurance

In this role, you will use your minimum 2 years’ experience involved in the end to end planning and execution of complex and group audits particularly for Financial Services clients. You will utilise Grant Thornton’s proprietary global audit methodology and the latest technology to drive an efficient and effective audit process which will enable you to gain a wide range of assurance exposure including; Working closely with internal team from Associate to Partner from planning to fieldwork Planning and execution of the external audits for various clients both private and listed companies, including identifying and responding to financial risks Direct experience in relation to external audits of Financial Services companies specifically APRA regulated Direct experience in relation to AFSL audits and to a degree GS 007 audits of service organisations Direct experience in relation to the audit of local and foreign Authorised Deposit Taking Institutions including the APRA Prudential Standard requirements under APS 310, the development of risk based compliance assurance procedures and in developing testing methodologies to evaluate the adequacy of the controls over compliance with APRA Prudential Requirements including the data provided to APRA under the FSCODA A strong technical knowledge of the accounting concepts and associated disclosures required under IFRS/ AASB, Australian Auditing Standards, ASX Listing Rules and Corporations Act requirements. Experience with regulatory compliance and internal audit of ADI’s will be advantageous.
Skills Minimum of 1-2 years audit experience ideally from a professional service firm CA/CPS progression commensurate with experience or holds similar relevant overseas qualification; Financial Services experience is essential Experience with auditing systems such as Voyager and LEAP would be highly advantageous Good project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities at one time and deliver engagements in a timely manner Great communication skills both verbal and written.
